Programs

September 28th: Welcome Back Fun!

After a long summer apart we’re dedicating a large part of the meeting to giving everyone a chance to visit and catch up. We’ll also be having a game of ‘getting to know you bingo’ to help meet some new people and make some new friends.

October 12th: Fiber Facts and Terminology 101

We’ll be starting our fiber properties theme off with a primer in commonly used fiber terms and an introduction on how to choose the right yarn for your project.

November 16th: Shop Night!

Do you need some yarn for that last minute gift? Or do you need a little treat for yourself? The Guild welcomes everyone for a fun opportunity to visit and shop for yarn, tools, accessories, and other items ahead of the holiday season. Meeting open to members and non-members alike!

December 14th: “Sheep to Skein” Presentation by Marcia Weinart

Come learn about the journey that wool makes to reach our hands with Marcia’s presentation.

January 11th: Zoom meeting – Topic TBD

February 8th: Trivia Night

Test your knowledge with a fiber themed trivia night!

April 12: Yarn Tasting

How better to learn about different types of fiber but to get to work with them! We will have a sampling of breeds from right here in New York to swatch with and learn about the features and properties that make these breeds different.

May 10th: Yarn (and More) Auction!

Bring your wallets & get ready for action! The auction is an event where we can restock our stashes with yarn donated by fellow members. This is the year’s main fundraiser for the Guild. Open to both members and non-members.
