2015 Guest Workshop ~ Franklin Habit ~ April 10 - 13 ~ Information
January's Program at the Guild ~ Mini Workshops!New Year...New Skills ~ These workshops will offer plenty of things to try, learn and master in the New Year. Some of the workshops require homework (see below). Come enjoy a great evening with us and try your hand at two methods of Beaded Knitting, Knitting Back Backwards, Garter Stitch Tab Cast On for Shawls, Jogless Stripes in circular knitting, Knitting Simple Lace from Charts and Short Rows (how, when and why!). Looking Ahead ~ To March and The Knitting Retreat!It doesn't matter if you like the falling temperatures and snow or not, in either case it's not too early to be thinking about Spring. The Spring Knitting Retreat that is. Mark your calendars for March 6, 7, & 8th and check out all the information about this great weekend retreat! Can't make it for the whole weekend? Looking Ahead ~ To April and our Spring Workshops!Rochester Knitting Guild welcomes Franklin Habit for four days of workshops on April 10, 11, 12 & 13, 2015. Writer, illustrator, and photographer Franklin Habit is the author of It Itches: A Stash of Knitting Cartoons (Interweave Press, 2008 - now in its third printing) and proprietor of The Panopticon, one of the most popular knitting blogs on Internet. Franklin will teach 8 different workshops and will also join us for our Monday night guild meeting (at Temple B'rith Kodesh) for a presentation. More information is here
Requests for Community knitting items abound, there is always a need for whatever you want to knit ~ We do continue to need baby items, preemie hats, and scarves for veterans. If anyone needs knitting needles for classes, we received a large supply at the March meeting. Please stop by the Community Knitting table to pick up supplies to keep your Community Knitting going over the summer!
